Walk on the wild side of North Wales.
Come and stay a while and walk from our door in the surrounding countryside of beautiful North Wales. Leave your transport behind and you can climb Foel Goch to appreciate the far-reaching views towards the Berwyn and Snowdon Mountains and on a good day the Clwydians. Or you can walk over to the Bryn Tirion Inn in Llandderfel for a pub lunch (approximate distance 8 miles each way). There are stunning views to be had from the moors.
Explore and experience the quite rural atmosphere and wild life in peaceful solitude or in company of friends. Breathe the crystal clear air as you rise upwards and amaze yourself with the views with the miniature buildings below when you pause and turn to look back at the path you’ve trodden!
Follow in the footsteps of the old Drovers and imagine them driving the livestock to market round Mydwl-eithin and if you’re feeling energetic take in the beautiful area of the Hiraethog mountains and Llyn Brenig a short distance by car.
In the spring wild life is bursting out of its winter quarters. The lambs dance and skip, and the insects are just emerging. Birdsong is in full swing refreshing to hear after the winter.
In summer the green of the fields will start to be mown and a patchwork will appear across the landscape. You may be lucky to spot Kite soaring above or an occasional Hen Harrier.
We can help you on your way with our local knowledge, route notes and maps and your packed lunch. If you wish we can organise to drop you off and pick you up if required or we can arrange a walking break between hosts.
